Paint for Vinyl Siding -- a Breakthrough

Benjamin Moore Regal Select Exterior Revive Paint  was given some space in Popular Mechanics Magazine July/August 2015 because it is among, if not the, first paint to be suitable (in colors) to re-paint faded vinyl siding.  Nobody, it says, made paint for this kind of siding other than white, off-white, or light blue.

But this paint is specially formulated to adhere to vinyl, is supposed to go on easily, and comes in 335 different colors.  $55 a gallon is the price quoted, I assume that is “not on sale” price.

World's Largest Building -- In Square Footage (Video)

This might not be a new video, but it certainly is an interesting one.  The world’s largest building (in square feet) is in China, and it is a shopping mall.  In a city with 18 million people, I think they said.  Anyway, the video is worth a look, as "big" hardly is  big enough, word to describe it.

Be careful what you wish for, you might get in your 10,000 steps per day just trying to find your favorite store in this mall.

Navdy Heads Up Screen For Any Vehicle (coming soon)

Navdy is about to introduce a new, and perhaps safer way to do voice, text and other things while driving your car.  Some new luxury cars now come with some type of so-called “heads up” display, but this seems to take it a step further.  This video is going viral, and was mentioned in the New York Times newspaper this week. Watch it; you might be seeing the future.

1.     it reads hand gestures, and there are no buttons to push
2.     it shows a smallish screen, that appears to be 3 feet from your windshield, floating on the hood of your car
3.     the video says that pilots use this type of heads up for landing planes, implying it is safe, and helpful
4.     this unit can fit on the dash of any existing car – in front of the steering wheel
5.     it links to your existing smart phone, a big plus for functionality and navigation
6.     they are taking pre-orders now, it is not yet in production

Is this safe?  Will it be the wave of the future?  Your comments welcome.
